Ai better than other games, still needs work
Ive only played this briefly but I have some initial thoughts about the game. The AI is better than games like the WPT game, but still fall into the pattern of calling no matter what with any pair. Havent gotten to the more advanced AI/game so this may improve at a harder difficulty level. But this brings me to my main gripe, which is the so called "tournament" style of play. Its actually a cash game with no buy backs. I won the initial game and ended up with 5k, so I entered the 5k tourney thinking it acts as a tournament with everyone starting at the same chip level. But I found myself sitting with my 5k in chips while everyone else had 60k. Basically was all in first hand. The game need to be clear on cash vs tournament. Couple of other suggestions: -fast forward ability for hands you arent in - auto-show cards when Ive actually got a good hand. The ability to much should only show when Im clearly beaten. While the way this game has it is more realistic, its unlike any other poker game or poker site (like pokerstars) that it throws you off a bit.
FAN*TAS*TIC
WOW. This game is freakin awesome. Much better AI than any other single player poker game Ive played, in probably the last 10 years. Or well, ever. I guess since people started making money off multiplayer games, the game companies all gave up on single player poker games. Glad to see someone stepping up to the plate. The AI seems to be getting harder with the higher levels, too, or Im getting more nervous with all that money. Im at just under $250,000 right now. I love the treasure box. And the graphics are totally different than any other poker game Ive seen. My only request is more levels! And a leaderboard. Im pretty sure Im not the best on the planet, but Im curious who is. Oh, and an iPhone version, and maybe one for Windows so I could play this on my large monitor. Both would rock.
Not ready for prime time
I purchased the game about two weeks ago and have run into a number issues that make me want to wish I hadnt. First when you get into the larger quantities of chips and try to go "all in" the game gets so caught up in trying to generate graphics for each chip that it just chokes to death and literally stops for as much as 30 seconds. At certain points if you try to be a large amount but less than all in. The game throws an error and will not let you bet at all. After a large win the chip counter goes crazy anew just keeps counting until it maxs out and the Natasha over. After about three cycles of counting it will settle down and provide an accurate count of your chips. Lastly once the final level is reached its just a repeated cycle of boredom. Try it if you like, but Id wait until they get some of these items cleared up.
Most challenging poker
This game is best one I have played. The players are challenging and very lifelike. Lots of levels to play and prizes to win. Very lifelike.
works pretty good
The game does seem to work like real players as it does dumb stuff all the time like folding when all it had to do was check. It does not ever bid on the opening and this is not realistic at all. Still could use some logic updates.
